Impact Outlook is a toolkit for embedding ethical considerations within the products and services we
make. Created in part with Joseph Carter-Brown, it includes a values guide, strategic model, FigJam
workspace,
widget and more.
The widget included in the toolkit is the first widget I've coded for
FigJam. My devign skills led me to developing a widget that has been used by over 800 creators.
An internal project adapted to be a Figma community resource. This library provides you with the core components you'll want in order to jump start your design system creation, and the flexibility needed to expand upon it as your project requires.
The 5-15 is a helpful template for sharing weekly/bi-weekly updates about what's happening in your world with your manager or team. This familiar and at-a-glance template adapted for FigJam provides a flexible structure where the categories can be relabeled to fit your preferred way to share updates.
Daily Charge is a discreet app that provides support for people newly living with HIV, dowloaded by
over
50k people. For this
project, I played a hybrid role of UX/UI Designer. At the start, as part of the UX team, I created
wireframes
and
defined the information architecture of the app.
As part of the UI Design team, I worked
to
establish
the overall branding, style, and user interface for both iOS and Android experiences.
Partnered with the Comcast Corporate team as Think Company’s lead designer to transform the site into a scalable platform with inherent flexibility for publishing a broad array of content.
Supported the maintenance and evolution of the design system powering the creation of resources for healthcare professionals.
This is the first project where my role was officially system designer where I managed
the creation of flexible, branded UI patterns that worked across multiple products.
This
project
inspired me
to learn to code in React in order to show the full concept of a new feature I designed to
enhance
the
standard
iOS date/time picker.
For this project I designed a concept for an iOS app to support The National Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Count. I conducted research, planned out the user experience and crafted the visual design to allow bird watchers to collect and view the information captured during a bird count.
A project I started on February 4, 2011 experimenting with the numbers of the given day to create
a
poster size composition. The focus for this project was more about the process of combining
numbers
and
less about the final outcome.
As a result of this design exercise, I created a library of 365 poster compositions to view.
Remember those soccer wallpapers I talked about creating when I was a kid? Here are a select few from before I even knew UI Design was a career I could aspire to.
