Check out this episode to learn more about my thoughts on design, development, design systems, OOUX, and why I use “dev-ign” whenever I get the chance.
In this episode of the podcast, Sophia chats with Anthony Gallo and I about how we discovered OOUX, how we use it at Think Company, and what it means to "dev-ign."
Keith Rich and Anthony Gallo — a dynamic design/dev duo from Think Company who leverage OOUX in their work — recently started used Airtable as a content and data management solution. After a bit of experimenting, they quickly realized the benefits. Content consolidation, a well-documented API, and accessible project management round out the benefits.

In order to help our team and the wider industry begin to take practical steps towards creating more ethical experiences, we built out a toolkit with a series of resources and templates that design and technology leaders can start using today. This post introduces the toolkit and outlines the core challenges, principles, and paths towards pursuing experience design with enough understanding to make a positive impact.
Product inclusivity is something that organizations of all sizes must understand and plan for to succeed and stay relevant. But like many practice models, the concept of what’s inclusive and what’s not is evolving. Being an inclusive organization creating inclusive products is a constant work in progress.
We recently used Airtable as a content and data management solution for a new application and realized the benefits of using this tool in a new way. As a user experience company, we’re always looking for the best experiences for our clients and ourselves—we’re impressed with all that Airtable has to offer.
Moving forward, we’re officially replacing “Be nice to people” with “Be kind to people” in our list of core values. This may seem like a minor change with little impact to our day-to-day or the way we interact with our team and clients, but we beg to differ. We believe it’s essential that our core values are accurate and regularly reviewed for the impact that the words have on the way we operate.
Managing a design system is an ongoing process that can quickly become unwieldy if tasks are being tracked individually in each team member’s mind. Having a Kanban board gets the whole team aligned and rallied behind the singular effort of creating a great design system.
